The Thorrington Tide Mill is a Grade II listed building built in 1831 and is the only remaining tide mill in Essex, it is managed by the Thorrington Tide Mill Trust. Tip: The Tide Mill is not currently open to tourists and is not accessible by car, but you can see it via the public footpath along the creek from Arlesford.
Thorrington Mill Vineyard is a 12 acre vineyard planted on the sea level south facing slopes on a family farm . Grape varieties planted were chosen for their popularity in the English wine making industry and include Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Bacchus.
