The structure, designed by artist collaborators Hanman Murphy, is located on access into the international port. The large sculpture depicts the Mayflower ship. This piece of public art, made from a structural skeleton, evokes the historic starting point of the Mayflower story. The Museum is operated by the St Osyth Historical Society which was formed in 1995 and is supported by St Osyth Parish Council. The Historical Society is registered as a charity.
