Discover a different side of the Essex Sunshine Coast with Tendring CAMRA RambAles – a collection of self‑guided pub walks that combine coastal scenery, countryside paths and welcoming local pubs.The RambAles link many of the area’s seaside towns, villages and rural landscapes, including routes near Clacton‑on‑Sea, Walton‑on‑the‑Naze, Harwich, Brightlingsea and Manningtree. Each walk begins and ends at a pub, making them a relaxed and sociable way to explore the Sunshine Coast beyond the beach.
With over 20 mapped routes to choose from, RambAles offer something for leisurely walkers and more experienced ramblers alike. Some routes make use of local trains or buses, allowing visitors to enjoy linear walks without retracing their steps. Walking boots are recommended on many routes, especially those crossing open countryside.
